Proverbs 31:10-31 Woman
The Proverbs 31 woman is a hardworking one. She arises early, makes sure her house is set and there is food in the house. This woman makes sure that there will be no problem in her household, because she ensures that everything that is needed is available.
She is a Backbone
When we open our Bibles to Proverbs 31 verse 11 it says: “the heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.” Other translations of “need of spoil” refer to it as “lack of gain”. This reveals the backbone synonym of valour.
The Covering of Christ
So how can you become this woman? The only way is when you cover yourself in Christ. For the Bible states: “He who FINDS a wife, finds a good thing and obtains FAVOUR from the Lord” (Proverbs 18:22) When reading verse 30 in proverbs 31 it states: “Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord shall be praised.” Therefore, we women do not need to look for the favour that man gives, but the favour of the Most High Himself; favour that flows through your entire (future) household. And let us not get things twisted, beauty is indeed vain, because when beauty fades away, what else do you have to offer? Some of us we get favour before men because of beauty, but this is simply outward appearance. What happens when the outward beauty fades away?
